Category C funding deadline extended

Primary producers in the Bundaberg and North Burnett Regional Council areas will now have until 20 July 2018 to apply for Category C Recovery Grants following damage caused by severe weather in October last year.

Due to ongoing wet weather, a number of primary producers have been unable to undertake clean up and restoration activities by the previous completion date.

The deadline extension gives eligible primary producers an extra three months to access exceptional circumstance recovery grants worth up to $25,000.

The Category C Recovery Grants can assist those affected with clean-up and restoration activities including removing debris, salvaging crops, replacing pasture or stock, purchasing fodder and repairing damage to premises and equipment

Category C Natural Disaster Recovery Grants are administered by the Queensland Rural and Industry Development Authority (QRIDA) on behalf of the Queensland and Commonwealth Governments. For more information or to apply visit www.qrida.qld.gov.au or freecall 1800 623 946.
